Chief Niyi Aborisade, the 2027 governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde, former Minister Elder Wole Oyelese, and other party leaders for the seamless conduct of the local government congresses across the state, particularly in Egbeda Local Government Area.
Aborisade, a United Kingdom-based lawyer and human rights advocate, delivered his remarks during the Egbeda council congress, praising the dedication of party officials to the principles and ideals of the PDP.
He singled out the PDP State Secretary, Wasiu Adeleke, and Hon. Sikiru Sanda, Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, alongside other party leaders from Abuja, for their roles in ensuring a smooth electoral process.
In a statement, he said:
“I commend the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde, Elder Wole Oyelese, Hon. Wasiu Adeleke, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, and the leadership from Abuja for their commitment to this historic occasion.”
The congress, conducted without incident, saw all candidates, from the chairman to ex-officio positions, emerge by consensus. Aborisade also extended his appreciation to party officials at both state and federal levels for their support and presence at the event.
