Aiyedatiwa lauds Tinubu’s economic reforms on Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has commended President Bola Tinubu for implementing economic reforms he described as pro-people and aimed at building a sustainable national economy.

The governor, through a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr. John Akinduro, made the remarks on Friday during a Jumat Service marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day in Akure.

Represented at the service by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted several achievements of the Tinubu-led administration, noting that the reforms were already yielding positive results across the country.

“Nigeria at 65 is a testimony of Allah’s mercy. As a nation, we have faced enormous challenges, yet we remain united under one flag. This is not by human effort alone, but through divine grace,” the governor said.

He further expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State, saying, “None of our achievements would have been possible without your trust, support, and prayers. I urge you to continue to support our administration through your prayers and commitment to peace, for the growth of Ondo State and Nigeria.”

Delivering the sermon at the service, Grand Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh Abdulakeem Akorede, encouraged worshippers to pray for the state government and maintain optimism about the country’s future.
