Dan’ile-Moriki Takes Over as Katsina NSCDC Commandant
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Katsina State has a new commandant, Mr. Abbas Dan’ile-Moriki, who formally assumed duty on Monday, September 22.
This was confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Hamisu. Dan’ile-Moriki succeeds Mr. Aminu Datti, who led the command prior to his retirement.
During the handover ceremony, Datti expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve and thanked officers and men of the command for their support throughout his tenure. He urged personnel to extend the same cooperation to his successor to ensure continuity in service delivery.
In his inaugural remarks, Dan’ile-Moriki pledged to sustain the strategic vision of the Corps under the leadership of the Commandant-General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
“I am committed to protecting lives, safeguarding government assets, and securing critical infrastructure in line with the mandate of the Corps. With the support of stakeholders and residents, we will achieve greater success,” he said.
A native of Moriki in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Dan’ile-Moriki assured the Katsina State government and the public of his readiness to deploy effective strategies to enhance security across the state.
