Osun 2026: Omisore Urges Party Supporters to Foster Unity Ahead of APC Primary

Senator Iyiola Omisore, immediate past National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and leading aspirant for the 2026 Osun governorship election, has urged his supporters to maintain unity and build alliances within the party ahead of the forthcoming primary election.

The former senator spoke on Thursday at his campaign office in Osogbo while interacting with former members of the Local Government Education Authority Board who served under Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration.

Omisore called on party faithful to strengthen relationships at the ward level, emphasizing inclusivity and collaboration.

“Our party primary will hold in November. When you return to your wards, work on building relationships across the board. Don’t focus on age or status; everyone in the party matters. Two wrongs cannot make a right. Win people over and work with them. Also, participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise,” he advised.

Speaking on behalf of the 250 attendees, Dr. Victor Olaniyi, former Chairman of the Central Working Committee of the Local Government Education Authority Board, pledged to support Omisore’s campaign at the grassroots.

“Since leaving office, we have witnessed governance challenges in Osun. We are committed to correcting these issues and ensuring progress. With the support of President Bola Tinubu and the APC structure, we are confident of transforming Osun,” Olaniyi said.

Hon. Folorunso Bamisayemi, former Commissioner for Education in Osun and a senior APC leader, urged all party members to back Omisore’s candidacy to secure a decisive victory in the 2026 governorship election.
