Army Smashes Bandits’ Supply Chain in Kabba/Bunu

 

Troops in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State have eliminated a major logistics supplier sustaining the operations of armed bandits in the axis.

 

The operation, executed in Ofere Bunu community, was part of a renewed crackdown on criminal networks led by the Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael.

 

In a statement, the Chairman’s Senior Special Assistant on Information, Communications & Strategy, Nayo Jude Babatunde-Uyi, said the suspect was the lifeline of bandits, providing them with food, arms, ammunition and communication equipment.

 

He noted that the success came through a coordinated effort involving the Nigerian Army, other security agencies, local vigilantes and community stakeholders.

 

“This action is a clear warning to all those who aid and abet criminals within our communities,” the statement declared.

 

Babatunde-Uyi reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to intensify joint operations and intelligence sharing to ensure Kabba/Bunu remains safe for residents and visitors.

 

He urged the people to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities, assuring that security forces will sustain a strong presence across the local government.The development marks a major victory in the ongoing effort to cripple the logistics network that fuels banditr toy in Kogi State.
