ADC Targets Victory in Ebonyi as It Strengthens Grassroots Structures
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ebonyi State has declared its readiness to contest and secure key positions in the 2026 local government elections and the 2027 general elections.
In a briefing with journalists in Abakaliki, the state chairman, Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor, said the party has registered over 5,000 members and is consolidating its structures at both local government and ward levels.
“Our goal is to change the political landscape in Nigeria by offering practical solutions through our manifesto,” Adibe-Nwafor said. “We are committed to issue-based politics and welcome new members, including defectors from other parties. While Ebonyi has over nineteen political parties, ADC continues to position itself as a credible opposition.”
She added that the party faces no immediate security challenges and is prepared to manage any that may arise. According to her, the party is confident of expanding its membership, including attracting senators and assembly members ahead of the primaries.
“ADC remains focused on the 2027 elections and assures members that their mandates will be protected. We are engaging with coalition partners and organizing seminars to strengthen our outreach,” the chairman said.
Adibe-Nwafor reiterated that the party is undeterred by the ruling party and continues to uphold its core principles.
