AIG Zubairu Visits Kwara Police Command, Seeks Stronger Collaboration on Security

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 8 Headquarters, Lokoja, AIG Abubakar Zubairu, psc(+), on Tuesday paid a working visit to the Kwara State Police Command, Ilorin, where he called for deeper collaboration between the Police, government, and communities to enhance security operations across the state.
The visit, which took place on November 11, 2025, brought together senior police officers, community leaders, and key stakeholders in security management.

Welcoming the AIG, the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo, PSC, MNIPS, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for proactive, intelligence-driven, and community-based policing.
He noted that the Command has intensified efforts to improve operational capacity and ensure the protection of lives and property in all parts of the state.

In his remarks, AIG Zubairu expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his administration’s consistent support to the Nigeria Police Force through the provision of logistics and investment in security infrastructure.
He urged the state government to sustain its partnership with the Force, particularly in the areas of logistics and community engagement, to strengthen the operational effectiveness of the Command.
A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said the AIG commended officers and men of the Command for their professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.
Present at the event were the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Yisa A. A. Lawal, and members of the Community Policing Committee (CPC), who pledged continued collaboration with the Police in promoting peace and security across Kwara State.
