Osimhen Fires Brace As Galatasaray Star Breaks European Scoring Record

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, continued his blazing form in Europe on Wednesday night as he netted twice to guide Galatasaray to a 3–1 home win over Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League.

The Nigerian forward’s double did more than secure three points — it etched his name into the club’s history books. Osimhen is now the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive matches in major European competitions, surpassing the previous mark held by Burak Yilmaz.

Osimhen opened the floodgates as early as the third minute, punishing a defensive lapse from the visitors to slot home the opener. He doubled his tally in the 33rd minute, again capitalising on another defensive error, this time from Fredrik Bjørkan.

Yunus Akgün made it 3–0 for the Turkish champions on the hour mark before Andreas Helmersen pulled one back for Bodo/Glimt 14 minutes from time.

With the brace, Osimhen now has five goals in all competitions this season for Galatasaray.

Elsewhere, Chelsea routed 10-man Ajax 5–1 at Stamford Bridge, while Liverpool ended their losing streak with a commanding 5–1 victory over Frankfurt. Bayern Munich thrashed Club Brugge 4–0, and Real Madrid edged Juventus 1–0 courtesy of a Jude Bellingham strike. Sporting Lisbon defeated Marseille 2–1.

Champions League action resumes November 4, with PSG versus Bayern Munich set to headline the next round of fixtures.
