BREAKING: Tinubu Accepts Nnaji’s Resignation as Innovation Minister
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Geoffrey Uche Nnaji.
Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation on Tuesday amid allegations said to have been levelled against him.
In his resignation letter, the former minister thanked President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the nation, adding that he had been the target of political blackmail.
President Tinubu, in accepting the resignation, commended Nnaji for his service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
The development was confirmed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
