Sokoto to Recruit 3,000 Graduates into Civil Service

The Sokoto State Government will on Monday begin the recruitment of 3,000 graduates into the state civil service.

The exercise, which will run from September 22 to October 6, 2025, is targeted at indigenes with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications.

A statement by the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, said interested applicants are to obtain forms free of charge from their local government areas of origin before proceeding with online registration at the state’s official portal: https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng.

Applicants are expected to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, provide biodata, and upload relevant documents, including certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number (NIN).

They will also be required to take passport photographs during the online process.

Muhammad stressed that the recruitment is free of charge, warning that multiple entries may lead to disqualification. Shortlisted candidates, he added, will be notified via email or the recruitment portal.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu recently inaugurated the recruitment committee, explaining that the exercise was part of his administration’s effort to reduce unemployment, strengthen manpower in key sectors, and empower qualified young people across the 23 local government areas.

“All applications must be completed between September 22 and October 6. Any further tests or screening will be communicated officially,” Muhammad said.

He urged applicants to ensure a stable internet connection and cautioned residents against offering money to anyone for the process.
