Governor Reaffirms PDP’s Development Agenda in Osun

Osun State Governor returned from a brief vacation on a high note yesterday, urging residents to sustain the momentum of development under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Addressing party leaders, supporters, and residents at a homecoming rally, the Governor recounted the state’s transformation since 2022 from “pity to confidence, poverty to prosperity, and hopelessness to hope.”

He highlighted key achievements, including improved pensions, restored worker welfare, mechanised agriculture, rural water supply, new roads and bridges, village-to-town connectivity, and strengthened primary healthcare. Youth empowerment, school rehabilitation, tax relief, support for financial cooperatives, and streamlined Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) processes also featured prominently.

“Should we go back to the past? Should we return to bad governance?” he asked. “Osun people are with us. God is with us. We shall overcome the Pharaohs facing us.”

Urging citizens to showcase the PDP’s achievements in their communities, the Governor declared: “Osun shall never go back. We are light. We shall always overcome darkness. I am back. Osun West, Osun East, and Osun Central, rise for good governance; rise again for Imole now and in the near future.”

The rally, marked by high energy and turnout, underscored the Governor’s call for unity and continued support for the PDP’s development agenda in Osun.
