Gospel Singer, Toluwanisings, Dies

Popular gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, widely known as Toluwanisings, has died at the age not yet disclosed.

His family confirmed his death in a statement shared on his verified Instagram page on Wednesday night, saying he passed away in the early hours of October 14, 2026.

The statement described him as a beloved husband, family member and gospel minister, while asking the public to keep his wife and loved ones in their prayers.

“With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of MINISTER OLAYEMI BAYONILE BOLAJI, Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM), who passed away in the early hours of 14 October 2026.

“A dearly loved husband, family member, and gospel minister.

“Please keep his wife, family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course,” the statement read.

Earlier on Wednesday, concerns had emerged over the singer’s health following reports that he slumped at his residence in Ibadan after complaining of tiredness.

The incident reportedly occurred hours after he ministered at In His Presence, a monthly worship programme hosted by gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan on Tuesday night.

Toluwanisings’ death comes months after he was involved in a road accident alongside members of his band while returning from a ministration.

Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues and fans, including lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi and comedian Woli Agba, who had earlier called for prayers over the singer’s health.

The family said further details about his burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
