Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the implementation of the 2025 promotion for workers in the mainstream of the State Civil Service.

The governor also approved the implementation of the 2024 and 2025 promotions for workers in agencies, parastatals and media houses, effective from September 1, 2026.

The Acting Head of Service, Dr Olufunke Mercy Shittu, disclosed this in a memo on the implementation of the promotion exercises.

She said the approvals followed the successful completion of the necessary processes by the Civil Service Commission and the affected establishments, as well as an assessment of the financial implications.

According to her, the financial benefits of the 2025 promotion for workers in the mainstream civil service will also take effect from September 1, 2026.

Shittu said the approvals were part of measures by the state government to strengthen workers’ welfare, motivate employees, enhance productivity and promote career progression within the State Public Service.

She appreciated the state government for its continued commitment to the welfare and career development of workers.
