JAMB Introduces Home-Based O’Level Result Verification for 2026 UTME Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has introduced a new system allowing candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.

The initiative currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council, allowing candidates to complete the process without repeatedly visiting Computer-Based Test centres.

Under the new arrangement, candidates can use the JAMB e-Facility platform to verify their results after obtaining a verification code.

JAMB will subsequently confirm the result with the relevant examination body before uploading it to the candidate’s profile.

To access the service, candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number, obtain a verification code and make the prescribed payment.

Candidates can also use the SMS option by sending “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019.

JAMB said the technology-driven system was introduced to make its services faster, safer and more convenient, particularly during periods of high demand.

The Board said the initiative would also reduce queues at CBT centres, minimise errors associated with manual data entry and address challenges caused by network failures at centres.

JAMB is expected to extend the direct verification system to results from other examination bodies.
