Super Falcons arrive Rabat Friday for WAFCON title defence
Defending champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, will arrive in Rabat on Friday ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The nine-time African champions have been camping in Casablanca since last Monday as preparations intensify for the continental tournament.
The team’s 25-player squad is now complete following the arrival of Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun on Friday night.
According to the schedule, the players and officials will be officially received by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) on Saturday.
The Super Falcons boosted their preparations with a 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars in an international friendly on Friday.
Coach Justine Madugu’s side will begin the defence of their WAFCON title against Malawi’s Scorchers at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday.
