Court Orders Arrest of Fake PFIPC DG as Security Operatives Nab Adeyemi
Security operatives have arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), following a warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Mohammed Umar ordered Adeyemi’s arrest after proceedings before the court, leading to his subsequent apprehension by law enforcement authorities.
The PFIPC, which Adeyemi allegedly presented as a federal government agency, has been confirmed not to be a recognised institution under the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Although details of the allegations against him remain sketchy, sources indicate that the arrest is connected to an ongoing legal process involving the activities of the controversial organisation.
Officials are yet to release the full charges or provide further information on the circumstances that prompted the court’s decision.
The development is expected to shed more light on the operations of the alleged fake agency and the extent of its activities as investigations continue.
More details are expected.
