Ekiti Decides 2026: Adaramodu dismisses vote-buying allegations, commends INEC
Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Yemi Adaramodu, has dismissed allegations that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) engaged in vote buying during the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election.
Speaking with journalists after casting his vote at Unit 1, Ward 11, Ilawe-Ekiti, on Saturday, Adaramodu described the claims as false and politically motivated.
He argued that the allegations were being made by opposition parties seeking excuses for their expected poor performance at the polls.
The senator maintained that the APC had no reason to induce voters, insisting that the party was relying on its record in government to secure victory.
He challenged anyone with evidence of vote buying to present it, adding that he had not witnessed any exchange of money for votes.
Adaramodu also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the election, expressing satisfaction with the voting process.
