The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued fresh guidelines for candidates participating in the ongoing recruitment exercise, urging applicants to ignore unofficial directives ahead of the medical screening.

In a statement on Friday by the Head of Press to the Secretary of the Board, Okeh Juliet, the Board clarified that there is no prescribed dress code for the medical screening scheduled to commence on Sunday, June 22, 2026.

It advised applicants seeking employment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to appear in normal and decent attire.

The Board also directed candidates not to bring their credentials to the screening centres, explaining that document verification will not be conducted during the medical exercise.

“Any information directing candidates to wear a particular dress code or bring their credentials should be disregarded, as such directives did not emanate from the Board,” the statement said.

The CDCFIB urged applicants to rely only on official information released by the Board regarding the recruitment exercise.
