2026: ADC Vows to Deliver Manifesto, Says Agenda Not Empty Campaign Promises

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has assured the people of Osun State that its recently unveiled 10-Point Agenda is a practical roadmap for governance and not a collection of empty campaign promises.

The party said its manifesto was carefully designed to address the immediate needs of residents while laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and development across the state.

In a statement issued in Osogbo by the spokesperson of the ADC Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Hon. Nurein Adebisi, the party said it remained committed to implementing all aspects of its agenda if elected into office.

According to Adebisi, the positive reactions and concerns generated by the public presentation of the manifesto have further strengthened the party’s resolve to reassure citizens of its readiness to fulfill its promises.

“Our 10-Point Agenda is not merely a campaign document but a solemn commitment to improving the quality of life of every resident across Osun State. These commitments will be pursued with sincerity, competence and a deep sense of responsibility,” he said.

The ADC spokesperson explained that the party’s agenda prioritises workers’ welfare through prompt payment of salaries and pensions, improved working conditions and enhanced career development opportunities.

He also noted that agriculture would receive significant attention through the provision of modern farming inputs, mechanisation, storage facilities and improved market access with the aim of transforming Osun into a regional food hub.

On security, Adebisi disclosed that the party had already developed a draft security policy aimed at ensuring the protection of lives and property through coordinated and effective security strategies.

Speaking on education, he said the ADC administration would invest heavily in school infrastructure and quality education, while building on the foundation laid by former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

He further stated that the party’s urban renewal and power generation agenda would leverage the opportunities created by the Electricity Act to improve power supply and infrastructure development across the state.

The party also promised to strengthen healthcare delivery by upgrading medical facilities, recruiting health professionals and expanding access to affordable healthcare services.

Adebisi said women and youths would occupy strategic positions in the party’s development agenda through access to finance, skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support and employment opportunities.

“We have a precedent on meaningful youth empowerment. Twenty thousand youths will be employed within our first 100 days in office, while additional programmes in technology, innovation, sports and entrepreneurship will be introduced to unlock their potential,” he stated.

The ADC also pledged to harness Osun’s cultural and historical assets to boost tourism and attract private sector investments, while implementing economic policies aimed at driving investment and wealth creation.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment, Adebisi said Osun possesses the human and natural resources required to attain greater heights under visionary leadership.

“Together, we will create an Osun where workers are valued, farmers prosper, businesses grow, youths are empowered, women thrive, communities are secure and every citizen has the opportunity to succeed,” he added.
