Chelsea sack Liam Rosenior after poor run of results
Chelsea FC have reportedly sacked manager Liam Rosenior following a poor run of form in the Premier League.
The decision was taken on Wednesday, a day after Chelsea suffered a 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion FC, a result that left the club in seventh place and dented their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
The defeat marked Chelsea’s fifth consecutive league loss under Rosenior, with the team also failing to score in those matches.
Rosenior, who joined Chelsea from RC Strasbourg Alsace in January, had been in charge for just four months.
Football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the development on X, stating that Chelsea decided to end his tenure after the losing streak.
The club is expected to announce an interim replacement in the coming days as pressure mounts to salvage their season.
