Oyedepo declares ‘divine judgment’ on bandits, sponsors

Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared what he described as divine judgment on bandits and their sponsors, amid ongoing security challenges in Nigeria.

Speaking during a church service themed “Covenant Day of Vengeance” at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, on Sunday, Oyedepo said those responsible for killings and kidnappings would face retribution within days.

“Except I am not sent, in the next seven days, I declare judgment upon those responsible for these disasters and their sponsors,” he said.

The cleric added that the coming week would usher in “testimonies of vengeance,” expressing confidence in imminent divine intervention.

In his sermon on sanctification, Oyedepo urged congregants to avoid spiritual complacency, warning that ungodliness could hinder breakthroughs and affect destiny.

“Until the God of vengeance shows up, the wicked will not give up,” he said.

He further emphasised the importance of holiness, noting that it remains central to faith and eternal reward.
