APGA releases 2027 primary timetable, fixes presidential form at N75m
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released its provisional timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ejimofor Opara, the National Working Committee said the exercise is in line with the revised INEC timetable and the Electoral Act 2026.
According to the schedule, the purchase and return of expression of interest forms will run from April 20 to May 8, while screening of aspirants is fixed for May 11 to May 13, depending on the office being contested.
The party said purchase and return of nomination forms will begin on May 14 and close on May 21, 2026.
It added that all primaries will hold on May 23, 2026, using the option A4 system, while appeals from the primaries will be concluded on May 28.
On fees, APGA pegged its expression of interest forms at ₦75 million for presidential aspirants. Other categories include: Senate, ₦6 million; House of Representatives, ₦4 million; governorship, ₦10 million; and State House of Assembly, ₦2 million.
The party said the structured process is aimed at ensuring credible and transparent selection of candidates ahead of the elections.
