Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has questioned the silence of supporters of Dangote Refinery following the latest increase in petrol pump price across parts of the country.

This came as several filling stations in Abuja adjusted their pump prices upward, selling petrol between N1,370 and N1,450 per litre after the refinery announced another upward review of its ex-depot price.

The latest adjustment marks the fourth fuel price increase by the refinery in March, a development that has further intensified transportation costs and worsened economic hardship for many Nigerians.

Reacting to the development, Adeyanju, in a post on his Facebook page, criticised those who had previously defended the refinery and attacked opposing views.

According to him, “Fuel is N1,450. Where are the influencers of Dangote who kept insulting me?”

The fresh hike has triggered renewed public concern as commuters and transport operators across major cities continue to grapple with rising operating costs and inflationary pressure.
