ADC to Nigerians: Sustain Ramadan Virtues, Remain Hopeful Amid Economic Hardship

The African Democratic Congress has called on Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, to sustain the virtues of faith, sacrifice and resilience cultivated during Ramadan, despite prevailing socio-economic challenges across the country.

In a goodwill message marking this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the party said the lessons of the holy month should inspire greater unity, compassion and renewed commitment towards building a peaceful, just and prosperous nation.

A statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, noted that Eid-el-Fitr remains a period of reflection and hope, especially at a time many Nigerians are facing economic difficulties.

According to the statement, the season serves as a reminder that even in difficult times, faith, sacrifice and resilience can strengthen confidence in a better future.

The party observed that although many families across the country are experiencing hardship, the spiritual lessons of Ramadan emphasize perseverance, compassion and unity as pathways to overcoming present challenges.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, may the values of discipline, generosity and devotion that defined the period guide us toward building a more just, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria for all,” the statement read.

The ADC further reaffirmed its commitment to a future where every Nigerian can live with dignity, security and equal opportunity.

It also extended Eid greetings to Muslims across the country, wishing them peaceful celebrations and renewed hope for national progress.
