Yobe State Adjusts Public Service Hours for Ramadan

Yobe State Government has announced a temporary revision of official working hours for public servants in observance of the Holy month of Ramadan.

According to a statement from Alhassan Sule Mamudo, Deputy Director of Information, Office of the Head of Service, the new schedule will run from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Mondays to Thursdays, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays.

Mamudo emphasized that the adjustment applies only for the duration of Ramadan, adding that normal working hours will resume immediately after the fasting month.

The move, a yearly tradition in the state, is aimed at giving civil servants the opportunity to participate fully in religious activities during Ramadan.

Officials have consistently said that the adjustment reflects the state government’s commitment to accommodating religious observances and promoting workplace flexibility during the fasting period.
