Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali Parts Ways With Chippa United

South African Premier Division side Chippa United have officially parted ways with Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, following a mutual agreement between the club and the Nigerian international.

The development came after Nwabali submitted a formal transfer request, expressing his desire to leave the club. This comes despite the 27-year-old goalkeeper signing a three-year contract extension with Chippa United in 2024.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the club expressed gratitude to Nwabali for his service since joining in 2022.

“Chippa United Football Club confirms that Stanley Nwabali has formally submitted a request to depart the club. After careful consideration, the club has agreed to grant his release,” the statement read.

“We sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for his years of service, commitment, and professionalism during his time at Chippa United. His contribution to the club will always be appreciated,” it added.

Nwabali, who has been a key figure in the Super Eagles’ goalkeeping setup, leaves Chippa United as he explores the next chapter of his career.
