Alleged Suspension a Cheap Ruse by Disgruntled Members — Oyintiloye

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Oyintiloye, has dismissed reports of his alleged suspension from the party as a mere ruse orchestrated by suspended and disgruntled members working for the opposition.
Oyintiloye, reacting to a purported suspension letter allegedly signed by the suspended chairman of Ward 01, Ibokun, Obokun Local Government Area, Gbenga Fagbamila, and 18 others, described the move as laughable and lacking any constitutional backing within the party.
According to him, the individuals behind the alleged suspension are not only bereft of authority but are themselves suspended members of the APC who are bent on discrediting him for selfish and political reasons.
He described allegations bordering on the unauthorized takeover of the Executive Assistant (EA) slot and the alleged diversion of ₦5.6 million as outright falsehoods deliberately cooked up to tarnish his image.
“I was never in charge of the said EA, neither did I at any time have access to or control over the funds being mentioned,” Oyintiloye clarified.
He added that he has already reported those behind the statement to the state leadership of the party, describing their action as a desperate bid for cheap relevance.
Oyintiloye further described the accusations leveled against him as “lies from the pit of hell,” stressing that he has remained a loyal, disciplined and committed member of the APC since its formation.
“If they truly have the power to suspend me, why rush to the press instead of following due process through the appropriate party executive channels?” he queried.
He accused Gbenga Fagbamila, who he said was earlier suspended from the party over alleged embezzlement of ₦7.5 million meant for the 2022 elections, of lacking the moral standing to question his integrity.
“It is a real shame that someone who was suspended for financial misconduct is now leading others to sign an imaginary suspension letter against me,” Oyintiloye said.
He challenged those behind the allegation to appear before the APC state executive to substantiate their claims, insisting that the purported suspension was “a joke of the century.”
Oyintiloye maintained that all the allegations contained in the letter were baseless and incapable of being proven, reiterating his standing as one of the most respected and dependable pillars of the APC in Osun State.
“I remain committed to the growth and success of our great party and will continue to play my role as a strong pillar of the APC in Osun State,” he added.
