Tambuwal: All Arms of Government Have Failed Nigerians

Former Sokoto State Governor and ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, has declared that all three arms of government have failed Nigerians.
Tambuwal made the remarks on Monday during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme.
The former governor criticized the electoral process, describing it as a policy decision that has adversely affected the people. He also condemned the removal of the fuel subsidy by the current administration, noting that it was implemented without viable alternatives, causing widespread hardship.
“I believe that as of today, it’s all three arms of government that have failed Nigerians. In the past, when one arm wobbled, the others often intervened through checks and balances within the constitutional framework. Today, however, all levels face challenges,” Tambuwal said.
He added: “When you talk about democracy, some policy decisions, particularly the electoral process and related governance issues, have negatively impacted Nigerians.”
Tambuwal’s comments come amid growing public debate over governance, democracy, and economic policies in the country.
