Badaru dismisses ADC defection rumour, pledges fidelity to APC

Former Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has firmly denied reports linking him with alleged consultations to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as false and mischievous.
In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, Badaru said the speculation was baseless and urged the public and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to disregard it.
Badaru, a founding leader of the APC, reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the ruling party, stressing that there has been no change in his political status.
“I remain a dedicated and committed member of the APC and have no intention whatsoever of leaving the party I helped to build,” he said.
He added that the rumours were the handiwork of political mischief-makers bent on causing confusion, assuring supporters that his allegiance to the APC remains absolute.
The former Jigawa State governor called on party faithful to remain focused and united as the APC continues its political engagements nationwide.
