Najeem Salam Leads ADC to Ta’awunu Camp, Pledges People-First Leadership for Osun 2026

As the 2026 Osun State governorship election draws near, Hon. Najeem Salam, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, has taken a bold step to reinforce the human side of politics. Salam, accompanied by top party leaders, visited the Ta’awunu Annual National Conference (TANACON) 2025, an influential faith-based gathering led by the Grand Mufti of Yoruba Land, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan.

The conference, renowned for promoting moral guidance, civic engagement, and community dialogue, provided a platform for Salam to connect directly with faith and community leaders, underlining his commitment to people-centered governance.

The ADC delegation included Dr. Charles Omidiji, Osun State Chairman of the party; Alhaji Issa Adediji; Prince Sikiru Aiyedun; Elder Lowo Adebiyi; Alhaji Salinsile; and other party supporters, reflecting the party’s strong resolve to engage constructively with societal institutions and prioritize the welfare of the people.

In his address, the Grand Mufti reminded political leaders that leadership is a sacred trust, calling for integrity, accountability, and service above personal ambition. He described Ta’awunu as a principled organisation committed to supporting leaders and initiatives that promote justice, peace, and the collective good.

Attendees described the visit as a model of ethical political engagement. For Salam, it was a statement that leadership is not merely about political ambition—it is about service, compassion, and creating opportunities for all.

As the election season unfolds, the interaction between Ta’awunu and ADC leadership reinforces the growing call for principled, people-first leadership in Osun State. The Grand Mufti also noted that all political stakeholders had been invited to TANACON 2025, which concludes tomorrow, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, inclusivity, and respect in shaping the state’s future.
