A member of the United States House of Representatives, Riley Moore, says he is finalising a detailed report for President Donald Trump on the rising attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria.

Moore, who disclosed this on X following his visit to Nigeria, said the report will outline a coordinated plan for the US government to work with Nigerian authorities to curb what he described as “Christian genocide” in parts of the country.

During his trip, the American lawmaker met with top government officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. He also visited Benue State, where he held discussions with Bishops Anagbe and Dugu, as well as the Tor Tiv.

Moore said displaced Christian communities narrated harrowing experiences of attacks allegedly carried out by suspected Fulani militants in the Middle Belt. One of the survivors, he noted, recounted how she was forced to watch her five children killed by the attackers.

“I am working on a report to @POTUS that will outline a path forward to work with the Nigerian government in a coordinated and cooperative manner to end the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle Belt and stop the ongoing terrorist threat in the Northeast,” his post read.

Moore added that the accounts and scenes he witnessed in Nigeria would remain with him for the rest of his life.
