Some members of the party’s State Executive Committee had issued a statement titled, “Official Rejoinder and Rejection of the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) List,” opposing the composition of the campaign council.
Ayangbile, whose name appeared among the signatories, said she was neither consulted nor involved in the preparation of the statement.
In a disclaimer personally signed by her, the APC welfare officer said she did not participate in drafting, deliberating on, adopting or authorising the publication.
“I did not give my consent for my name to be included as a signatory, and I therefore reject any impression that I endorsed or authorised the publication,” she stated.
She described the use of her name and official position to advance a collective position without her knowledge or approval as inappropriate.
Reaffirming her loyalty to the APC, Ayangbile said she remained committed to the party and respected its leadership and established structures.
She also described her support for President Bola Tinubu as unwavering and pledged loyalty to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the party’s governorship candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.
“My loyalty is not negotiable, my political position is clear, and my name and integrity must not be used to advance any position without my consent,” she said.
Ayangbile consequently requested that her name be removed from the list of signatories in all subsequent publications.
