The state APC chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, following a meeting of the party’s State Working Committee (SWC).
Lawal said the party had reaffirmed its commitment to Tinubu’s second-term ambition and was already putting structures in place to mobilise support for the President ahead of the election.
He explained that the party leadership had mapped out various strategies, with members and stakeholders across its administrative structures assigned specific responsibilities to ensure electoral success.
According to the chairman, the decision to work with Governor Adeleke followed deliberations and resolutions reached at the State Working Committee meeting held on Wednesday.
He said the party welcomed the governor’s decision to support Tinubu’s re-election bid and was prepared to work with him towards achieving the common political objective.
Lawal, however, urged Adeleke to ensure that the proposed collaboration was inclusive by giving APC leaders and members in the state adequate opportunities to participate.
He stressed that the involvement of relevant party stakeholders would be crucial to the success of the political partnership and the overall objective of securing victory for Tinubu.
Meanwhile, the Osun APC resolved to intensify mobilisation for its candidates contesting seats in the National Assembly and the State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party also announced plans to establish a campaign council to coordinate its activities and strengthen support for its legislative candidates.
It further resolved to deploy party structures across all levels for electioneering activities, while acknowledging the efforts of party leaders in addressing internal disagreements within the Osun APC.
The development signals a possible area of political cooperation between the ruling Accord administration in Osun State and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections, although the extent and structure of the proposed collaboration remain to be seen.
