Tinubu Receives Proposed 2027 UN Budget From Jimoh Ibrahim

President Bola Tinubu has received copies of the proposed 2027 United Nations budget from Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Jimoh Ibrahim.

Ibrahim presented the seven-volume budget to the President at the State House in Abuja on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Expressing his delight during the meeting, Tinubu told the ambassador, “I am proud of you.”

Ibrahim, who chairs the UN Committee on Budget and Administrative Matters, explained that the proposed budget was still subject to scrutiny and approval by member states.

He, however, described the presentation of the document to the Nigerian leader as significant.
