In a statement signed by Kehinde Adeoye, Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communication to the Secretary to the Osun State Government, the committee is chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Bobagunwa Teslim Igbalaye, who inaugurated its members on Tuesday at the Government Secretariat, Abere, on behalf of the governor.
Speaking at the inauguration, Igbalaye conveyed Adeleke’s appreciation to members for their contributions to the governor’s electoral victory, acknowledging their loyalty, prayers and sacrifices.
He, however, reminded the committee members that the renewed mandate came with greater responsibilities, stressing that the administration must intensify its commitment to good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends.
“Victory at the polls translates to more work and greater responsibilities. The good people of Osun State have renewed their trust in us, and their expectations are higher,” he said.
Igbalaye urged members to approach the assignment with unity and dedication, describing the inauguration as an opportunity to reassure residents of the administration’s commitment to implementing programmes that would positively impact their lives.
“Our assignment is very clear. We are to work as one united family,” he added.
The SSG further charged the various sub-committees to maintain close collaboration with the Central Planning Committee to ensure proper coordination and a successful inauguration ceremony.
The November 27 event is expected to mark the commencement of Adeleke’s second term in office, following his re-election.
The committee is expected to coordinate the necessary arrangements for the ceremony and related activities.
