In a video circulating online, Sowore was seen leading demonstrators through some streets in the nation’s capital while chanting, “Tinubu must go.”
The protesters also carried placards bearing images of President Tinubu and messages demanding his exit from office.
Sowore is currently standing trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja on a two-count charge bordering on alleged cyberstalking and criminal defamation of President Tinubu.
The case was instituted by the Department of State Services (DSS) under the amended Cybercrimes Act, following social media posts made by Sowore in August 2025 in which he described President Tinubu as a “criminal.”
