Osun: Adeleke Orders 24-Hour Security Alert, Approves Joint Task Force

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has directed security agencies in the state to remain on 24-hour alert and approved the establishment of a Joint Security Task Force to strengthen the response to emerging security threats.

Adeleke announced the measures after a State Security Council meeting chaired by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, to review recent security alerts across the state.

The governor said the Joint Security Task Force would enhance coordination, intelligence sharing and rapid response among security agencies.

He also approved the provision of necessary logistics and support to enable the task force to commence operations.

Adeleke directed security agencies to maintain heightened vigilance around churches, mosques, schools and other public places.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and report credible information to security agencies.

“Security is a collective responsibility, and timely information can save lives,” Adeleke said.

The governor said his administration would continue to work with security agencies, traditional rulers and community leaders to protect lives and property across the state.
