Adeleke made the demand in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, amid the ongoing Osun governorship election.
According to the statement, Bisi was arrested at his residence in Ilesa shortly after returning from voting and taken to an undisclosed location.
Adeleke said no reason had been given for the arrest, describing it as an attempt to intimidate his supporters and disrupt the electoral process.
The governor also accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of working with what he described as compromised security agents to restrict access to collation centres.
“This latest sweep on my supporters, I have authoritatively learnt, is part of a broader plan to give the APC unhindered access to change results at collation centres and upturn our wins at the poll,” Adeleke alleged.
He described the alleged attempt to interfere with the collation process as an attack on democracy and urged security agencies not to allow their institutions to be used to undermine the outcome of the election.
Adeleke called for the immediate release of Bisi and other persons he described as political prisoners across the state.
“Election should be about the people freely giving their mandates to the person of their choice without threat or force,” he said.
