The group distributed food items and N10,000 cash to each of the beneficiaries during the empowerment programme held in Ileogbo on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event, the group’s coordinator, Ige Adeyanju, said the initiative was part of its efforts to support people in need and also encourage the beneficiaries to participate in the election.
Adeyanju said the group believed Oyebamiji had the capacity to provide good governance and drive development across the state.
“It is just to appreciate our people for their loyalty, because despite the waves here and there, they remain steadfast and they are giving us their full support.
“We empowered over 200 women, and you know women are the builders of the nation. We also want them to support the APC candidate,” she said.
Adeyanju expressed confidence that Aiyedire Local Government would deliver its votes to Oyebamiji, saying the women would influence their husbands, children and other dependants.
“We are very sure that our votes would be delivered to Oyebamiji. Our leaders have been good to us, and this is the time for the payback,” she said.
