Vinčić will be assisted by fellow Slovenians Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič, while Adham Makhadmeh of Jordan will serve as the fourth official for the final scheduled to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The final will be Vinčić’s fourth assignment at the tournament. He previously officiated the group-stage matches between Brazil and Morocco and Jordan and Algeria, as well as the Round of 32 encounter between Mexico and Ecuador.
During the Mexico-Ecuador match, Vinčić sent off Ecuador defender Piero Hincapié under FIFA’s anti-discrimination protocol, commonly referred to as the “Vinícius Law.”
