Kwara Governor AbdulRazaq sacks advisers in cabinet reshuffle

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has relieved all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary of their appointments as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola.

According to the statement, the reshuffle is aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party to serve in government while injecting fresh energy into the administration.

“The decision is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration,” the statement said.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected appointees for their services to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.

He also directed all affected officials to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
