His death was announced on Saturday by his former Digital and Creative Media Aide, Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, who said the former deputy governor died in the early hours of the day.
In a statement, Lukman described Sule-Katagum as a dedicated public servant who contributed significantly to the development of his community, Bauchi State and the nation.
He prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
Sule-Katagum served as Chief of Staff at the Bauchi State Government House before he was appointed deputy governor.
He held office as Deputy Governor of Bauchi State from 2018 to 2019 under the administration of former Governor Mohammed Abubakar.
He has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
