Govt Alone Cannot Fund Education — Kaduna Governor

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has said that government alone cannot bear the responsibility of funding and delivering education, stressing the need for broader collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the sector.

 

The governor stated this at the weekend while inaugurating a facility built by the Christian Academy Management in Ungwan Bulus, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna State.

 

He was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Dr. James Kanyip.

 

Sani said sustainable progress in education requires partnerships between government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions.

 

“The task of educating our children cannot be left to government alone,” he said.

 

“Meaningful progress requires collaboration among government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions. This is why we greatly value initiatives such as this one.”

 

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with individuals and organisations involved in improving education, describing investment in young people as key to long-term peace, prosperity and development.

 

He described the newly inaugurated facility as a symbol of hope and transformation, noting that education remains central to human capital development and societal progress.

 

“Every classroom built creates opportunities for learning. Every child educated strengthens our communities. Every investment in education contributes to a more prosperous future for our state and nation,” he added.

 

Sani said his administration has prioritised education through policies aimed at improving infrastructure, expanding access, and enhancing the quality of learning across Kaduna State.

 

He said the government’s goal is to ensure education is accessible, affordable and equitable for every child.

 

According to him, the facility would serve not only the host community but also function as a centre for learning and leadership development.

 

The governor also commended the Christian Academy Management for its contribution to the education sector, describing it as a demonstration of shared responsibility in human capital development.
