BREAKING: PDP, APM join forces as Makinde declares for presidency

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has entered into a political alliance with the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The two opposition parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, signalling a new coalition arrangement ahead of the polls.

Seyi Bamidele signed on behalf of the PDP faction, while Oladele Oyadeji represented the APM. Governor Makinde and APM National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, also appended their signatures to the agreement.

In a related development, Governor Makinde also declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election.
