Supreme Court Nullifies PDP Ibadan Convention, Sacks Turaki-Led Faction

The Supreme Court has nullified the national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16, 2025.

The apex court, in its ruling, voided all decisions and outcomes of the convention, including the emergence of the factional National Working Committee (NWC) led by Tanimu Turaki, SAN.

The judgment effectively invalidates the leadership structure produced at the Ibadan gathering, dealing a major blow to the Turaki-led faction amid the lingering internal crisis within the party.

Although full details of the ruling are still being awaited, the decision is expected to have far-reaching implications for the leadership tussle currently rocking the PDP.
