Troops Neutralise Suspected Bandits in Kwara, Recover Motorcycles

Troops of Operation Savannah Shield have carried out a successful offensive against suspected bandits in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, recovering operational items during the raid.

Details of the operation were disclosed by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama in a post on X, indicating that the mission was executed around 7:30 a.m. on April 26 in the Latan Daji and Lata Forest axis.

According to him, troops advanced into the forest and engaged the suspected criminals in a gun duel, forcing them to retreat under pressure.

“During the encounter, three motorcycles were recovered from the fleeing criminals after they were forced to withdraw from the area,” he said.

The recovered motorcycles have since been secured, while troops continue follow-up operations aimed at clearing the forest and restricting the movement of criminal elements in  the area.
