Osun APC stakeholders raise ₦70m for Oyebamiji’s governorship campaign

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ife Federal Constituency have raised over ₦70 million to support the governorship ambition of the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the 2026 Osun State election.

The fundraising was held following the inauguration of Taofeek Ajilesoro, the lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, as chairman of the Finance Committee for the APC Governorship Campaign Council in the constituency.

Breakdown of the donations showed that Ajilesoro contributed ₦31.7 million, while an aspirant to the House of Representatives, Engr. Marcus Adedini, donated ₦21 million. Another aspirant, Kunle Ayoola, gave ₦5 million.

Similarly, the Director of City Boy Movement in Osun State, Engr. Kayode Sowade, alongside Mr. Victor Badejo, donated ₦2 million each. The Osun APC chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, pledged ₦1.5 million, while the campaign Director-General for the constituency, Barr. Wale Ojo, contributed ₦500,000.

Other contributors, including Adegoke Adeboye, Prof. Taiwo Olaiya, Ojuade Bukola, Ajiboye Segun and Orogade Abiola, donated ₦1 million each.

Speaking at the event, the campaign Director-General, Wale Ojo, stressed the need for unity and strength within the party, noting that the APC must remain “highly formidable” to secure victory at the polls.

Also addressing party faithful, the state APC chairman described Ifeland as a critical stronghold that would determine the outcome of the election.

In his remarks, Ajilesoro expressed confidence in the leadership of the party at both the state and constituency levels, pledging that the finance committee would ensure prudent deployment of resources.

“This initial ₦70 million demonstrates our collective commitment,” he said. “We are building a formidable and focused movement capable of returning the APC to Government House.”

He added that the committee would work closely with the campaign leadership to mobilise further support ahead of the election.
