EFCC Declares City Boys Movement Women Leader Wanted Over Alleged Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a women leader of the City Boys Movement, wanted over alleged fraud.

In a notice issued on Monday via its official X handle, the anti-graft agency said Tejuosho is being sought in connection with a case of obtaining money by false pretence.

The notice, signed by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, urged members of the public with useful information about her whereabouts to come forward.

“The public is hereby notified that Halimat Adenike Tejuosho is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence,” the statement read.

The Commission called on anyone with relevant information to contact any of its offices nationwide, reach out through official communication channels, or report to the nearest police station or other security agencies.

Tejuosho was recently appointed as the South-West Zonal Women Leader of the City Boys Movement, where she was expected to coordinate women-focused political mobilisation and advocacy across the region.

The EFCC has not disclosed further details regarding the allegations as investigations continue.
