Osun 2026: Adeleke’s Re-election Bid Gains Momentum as Oyewumi, Alimi Head Campaign Council

As preparations intensify ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, the Accord Party is set to inaugurate its campaign council on Wednesday, April 22.

Findings by Patriotic Insights News indicate that the Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has been appointed as the Director-General of the campaign council, while the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, will serve as Deputy Director-General.

In the same vein, Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi has been named spokesperson for the campaign council.

The development is seen as part of efforts to strengthen the re-election campaign of Governor Ademola Adeleke, as political activities gather momentum across the state.

More details are expected to emerge following the official inauguration of the campaign council.
