Private Sector Key to APC Victory in Osun Guber Poll — Oke

The Director-General of the Osun State APC Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has called for greater involvement of private sector leaders in the party’s push to secure victory in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.

Oke made the appeal during a strategic meeting with entrepreneur and community leader, Mr. Kehinde Raji, popularly known as Araj, at his residence, Kejebu Villa, Osogbo.

He noted that while not all influential individuals may seek elective positions, their roles as opinion leaders and grassroots mobilisers remain vital in shaping political outcomes and driving collective progress.

According to him, the support of private sector stakeholders is crucial to strengthening the campaign of the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

Oke urged Raji to take a more active and visible role in the political process, stressing that his influence within the community places him in a strong position to mobilise support for the party.

“Not everyone will go into politics, but their contributions from the private sector can significantly impact a cause that serves the collective interest of the people,” he said.

He further explained that increased participation would ensure that supporters and associates of private sector leaders are properly integrated into the broader political structure.

Oke added that the party remains committed to building an inclusive campaign that accommodates both political actors and key stakeholders across different sectors.

The meeting, he said, is part of ongoing consultations by the APC Campaign Council to consolidate support ahead of the governorship poll.

Reacting, Media Aide to the Director-General, Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, emphasised the importance of the engagement, describing it as a step towards unifying critical stakeholders for electoral success.

“This engagement reflects our commitment to reaching out to key stakeholders whose roles are indispensable in delivering victory for our candidate,” he stated.
